Reading your Dashboard
CVA M² is the platform under the hood — in your app it's branded as Triple G, with Stinky as your shop's AI assistant. The Dashboard is the first screen you'll see, and it's built to answer one question in under a minute: what needs my attention right now?
Overview
The Dashboard is a single-page summary of everything happening in the shop right now — safety alerts, blocked jobs, equipment due for service, who's clocked in, and where money is going. Nothing here requires digging; every card is a shortcut into its full section.
Always-visible chrome
These elements stay on screen no matter which section you're in — not just the Dashboard.
- Alerts ticker — the scrolling strip along the very top edge. Real-time alerts (low-stock parts, urgent DVIR defects) scroll past continuously. Click any item to jump straight to it; hover to pause and read one at a time.
- Header bar — your shop's logo, a live date/time widget, a search bar (equipment, work orders, and parts, from anywhere), Ask Stinky, New work order, the notification bell, and your own initials confirming who's signed in.
- Navigation sidebar — Dashboard, Work Orders, Equipment, Inventory, Invoices, Reports, and more. A colored dot beside a section name means something there needs attention. Admin lower down covers Users, Inspection Templates, Connected Devices, and Integrations.
Ask Stinky
The round icon in the header opens your shop's AI assistant from any screen. Ask it plain-language questions — asset status, defect history, parts stock, labour hours. Stinky says so honestly when it doesn't have enough information, rather than guessing — and it never declares a safety defect "safe" on its own. That call always stays with a driver or a supervisor.
DVIR Alerts
The first thing below the header — visible only when there's at least one active alert, hidden entirely otherwise. Refreshes on its own. Three distinct situations, each its own card:
Out of Service RED
An asset was placed out of service by a driver's inspection.
- View WO — opens the related work order.
Override OOS releases the asset back into service before the repair is finished. Use it only when you're confident it's genuinely safe — for cases where the trigger was a mistake, not a way to skip a needed repair. Requires a written reason, so there's always a record of why.
Awaiting Deferment AMBER
A defect serious enough to flag, but not severe enough to force the asset out of service — a supervisor decides what happens next.
Approve Deferment records the decision to defer. Require Repair sends it to the shop as a real work order instead — no PIN needed, since routing something toward repair is the conservative choice.
Pending Sign-off BLUE
A repair is finished and needs formal sign-off to close the loop.
Sign Off Repair confirms the repair meets standards. If the asset had an active restriction tied to this repair, signing off releases it in the same step.
Summary Cards
Five cards below DVIR Alerts, each a shortcut to its full section:

Equipment — Service Status
The left column of the main three-column section, ranked by how soon service is needed — not just what's already overdue.
Columns: Unit, Type, Hours until service (reads "N hrs overdue" in red once past due), a progress bar (green → amber → red), Status badge, and Downtime with a reason (waiting on parts, in repair, waiting on approval, or fully out of service).
Click a row for that asset's full detail, or View all N assets for the whole fleet. Below the table: a Recent activity feed and, when relevant, an Upcoming schedule strip for the next 7 days. The table compacts itself automatically on a narrower window rather than dropping columns.
Relay
The middle column — your shop's messaging, docked right on the Dashboard so you don't have to leave it to check in on a conversation.
- Crews & Customer channels — pick a conversation to open its thread. A customer channel is created automatically per account; crew channels group technicians on the same job.
- Message thread — reads and sends like any chat app once a conversation is selected.
- Open full Relay — the full page, for more room when the docked panel is too tight.
Work Orders & Alerts
The right column, top to bottom:
Techs on shift — everyone currently clocked in and how long they've been on the clock, reflecting real-time clock-ins from the tablet or shop-floor app. This is the same data behind "Labour this week" above — accurate clock-ins here keep that number trustworthy. If a column has more than fits, it scrolls independently.
Financial Snapshot
Below the three columns: Third-party repair profit (jobs sent to an outside shop), Fuel spend (this month, retail + bunker), and Loads hauled (tonnes this month) — a quick read on money and volume, separate from the maintenance-focused cards above.
Connected Devices & Integrations
The bottom row: a live grid of every device slot on your team — desktop, tablets, phones — showing green (connected), red (assigned, not connected), or idle. Below it, one tile per integration (Motive, QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, WEX, Geotab, Xero) showing connected or not yet configured — the same summary also collapses into a small header pill for a quick check without scrolling down.
Tips for Daily Use
Recommended morning routine:
- Check DVIR Alerts first — surfaced above everything else on purpose, since it's most likely to need an immediate decision.
- Scan the Summary Cards for anything red or amber.
- Check the Equipment table and Work Orders spotlight for anything needing scheduling or parts today.
- Glance at Techs on Shift to confirm who's actually working matches who you expect.
What to check first: anything red — consistently means "this needs a decision now."
When to escalate vs. handle yourself: anything gated behind a supervisor PIN (Override OOS, Approve Deferment, Sign Off Repair) is meant to require that judgment — get the right person rather than working around it. Everything else — creating work orders, reordering parts, messaging through Relay, viewing detail — is normal daily use for anyone with dashboard access.
